NAUMACHIA

    The point marking the beginning of NAUMACHIA would be somewhere in 1999. Naumachia was initiated by Armand. As it usually happens, we were taking on, and sending away different guys, mounting to 10 of them, and we were not really sure what we wanted to play at that point. We didn`t know anything about musical creation and had problems with handling our instruments. Fortunately we haven`t given up and started working on our skills, and the direction we wanted to follow with our music became finally clear. In September 2000, we entered "Selani Studio" ( known from the productions of Vader , Behemoth or Decapitated bands` releases), where, still as Overture, we recorded a 3-piece demo. After that, Naumachia appeared live getting their first gig experience and gaining positive feedback from the audiences

2003 caught Naumachia back in the studio, this time in professional environment od Hertz, where during 8 October days "Wrathorn" was recorded. The line-up for this release was: panzer-drums, soyak-guit,voc, armand-guit, koshen-keyboard, shock-bass. "Wrathorn" was done by Wieslawski Bros team of sound engineers. The mentioned Hertz studio team is known for productions of sceptic,decapiatated,trauma. 3 months later, Naumachia signed a contract deal with Empire Rec., thanks to which "Wrathorn" could be released in 5000 copies, that accompanied the Polish issue of Thrash`em All mag.

Some line-up changes unabled Naumachia to promote "Wrathorn" straight after its release.somewhere around September Shock got finally replaced by new member, Got-bass, which improved Naumachia`s technical skills. Naumachia has already started writing new material, this time determined to widen vocal lines potential, which is possible with the vocal skills of the band`s new member-Yarpen.
